Richard and Ivy Hayes started Grassy Valley Homes in 1989, with the development of their first manufactured housing community, Canton Hollow, located in West Knoxville, TN. This community was the start of a successful business in the sales of manufactured housing and the development and management of manufactured housing communities throughout East Tennessee. Throughout the years, there have been many challenges in the manufactured housing industry, but GVH's priority has always been to provide our residents with a quality home at an affordable price through a continuously emerging market. Grassy Valley Homes currently owns and manages 12 manufactured housing communities with 518 homesites as well as various private properties throughout East Tennessee and Southwest Virginia.
Grassy Valley Homes' office is centrally located in Johnson City, Tennessee. The manufactured housing communities in which Grassy Valley Homes proudly retain and manage are in Johnson City, Bristol, Kingsport, Gray, Boone's Creek, Erwin, Greeneville, Knoxville, Tennessee, and Castlewood, Virginia.
